02 days training programme on “Karmayogi Police- custodians of society” commenced at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur. Mission Karmayogi is the National Programme launched on September 20, 2020 by the Prime Minister of India which aims to create a competent civil service rooted in Indian ethos, with a shared understanding of India’s priorities, working in harmonisation for effective and efficient public service delivery. The idea behind the scheme is to bring about a change in attitude and skill set of government employees.
This was the second such course which held in the Academy. In the inaugural session, Sh. Praveen Singh Pardeshi, senior IAS officer and member (Administration) National Capacity Building Commission, Govt. of India visited Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur and participated in the session. He examined the assignments of the participants given on the workbook and minutely interacted with the participants. In his speech, he laid emphasis that learning form this course will go a long way in shaping their career in the perspective of positive attitude. He advised participants to carry forward the spirit of feeling young in the subsequent stages of their career. He also informed the participants that an App called “Karmayogi Movement” is going to be launched shortly where the success stories resulting out of Seva Bhav shall be uploaded on daily basis. The best story shall be graded as three star, four star, five star etc. Sh. Pardeshi also advised the young officers to groom their subordinates of Mission Karmayogi by sharing knowledge gained in the programme.
Earlier the Chief Guest was welcomed and received by Sh. Mohan Lal, SSP, JKPS, Dy. Director (Indoor/Trg.) and briefed him about the training programme under mission Karmayogi Policepersons. Thirty one (31) Probationer Sub Inspectors participated in the training programme. The course was co-ordinated by the Master trainers Sh. Suraj Singh, Dy.SP, Asstt. Director (Trg./R&D).
